The True Path Entrepreneur

 HEY It's Moneyday

Don't invest in real estate,  stocks or Bitcoin or commodities if you haven't first invested in yourself.

Your mind is the engine that drives your growth. If it is not well developed, it will be led by greed and you will make unwise investments and lose your money!

Although many of us take the first step in recognizing the need to change and improve their personality, behavior, way of thinking and life3 in general, they do face the challenge of making that changes happen and keeping up with it.

Therefore they find self development a hard task and do not even attempt it, due to many reasons such as:

♦️ Lack of commitment

♦️ Wrong motivation

♦️ Creating too many goals at once

♦️ Expecting many changes quickly

♦️ Cognitive biases

♦️ Unrealistic expectations

Etc

But, integrating self development and self-reflection into our day to day becomes the key to a fulfilling life.

I'm Victor Ayobami 'Leke

I always have some growth-focused insights and tools/resources to share with you every Monday to help you build the next big thing.

I would love to equip you with some really good stuffs by telling you:

⚡What I've been reading,

⚡What I've been watching/ listening to

⚡Threads and

⚡Tool for the week!

Let's diveπŸ’«

πŸ“š What I've Been Reading πŸ‘‰

I read something interesting about Aritzia.

Despite being in business for over 36 years, Aritzia has only recently found its way into the hearts, closets, and heavily edited Instagrams of shoppers across the globe.

Aritzia's calculated domination of the "everyday luxury" market  is a testament to its investment in vertical integration, thoughtfully positioned private brands, and ability to quickly adapt to the changing retail landscape.

This fantastic analysis takes a look at the past, present, and bright future of this apparel powerhouse.

πŸ“Ί What I've Been Watching πŸ‘‰

I normally talk about the power of visualization, and recently I watched the K(no)w Board.

In Jim Carrey's 1997 appearance on Oprah, he shared a story of his days before fame and how he used visualization and manifestation to make his dreams a reality. I don't want to give it away, so I will let you learn on your own.

Nathan Barry's Experiments

To date, ConvertKit has done over $84M in lifetime sales.

It is also the reason that you and I receive emails everyday!

But this was not founder Nathan Barry's first rodeo.

In this thread he recounts his journey as a builder, sharing 10 other projects that flopped or failed to pick up steam. A nice reminder that you usually don't hit a home run in your first at bat.

🌑️ Tool of the Week πŸ‘‰

I've gotten two tools for you today:

Tool 1: πŸ˜‰

If you have been getting bored on your day to day activities, here is a more entertaining way to find new music from around the world.

Radio Garden lets you tap into any local radio station across the globe. You can search by genre or location and save your favorite stations.

The Garden initially started in 2016 as an exhibition project commissioned by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision in the context of the Transnational Radio Encounters project, and eventually spun out into its own independent business in 2019. Cool product, and very fun to play around with. This section has been brought to you by Hot FM 102.7 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The best jobs pay you to learn. So do the best newsletters.

A brainchild of Balaji Srinivasan, 1729 is the first newsletter designed to make you healthier, wealthier, and wiser.

Over a thousand bucks a day are distributed in crypto to technologically progressive readers in return for completing various tasks and tutorials around programming, cryptocurrency, writing and exercise.

I'm most impressed by his long term vision for the project, a way to democratize knowledge and access to financial opportunity while identifying the best global talent.

Balaji discusses it in depth during his Tim Ferris interview which I will happily plug again because it was just that good.

Hey,

It is easy to get stuck in your comfort zone, after all, if you are like me you have been navigating work, home, and relationships for the whole year!

Change can be uncomfortable, even scary – so how can you make sure you are always open to learning new things and embracing new perspectives?

First of all, understand that knowledge is key to growth – and you HAVE to keep growing if you want to evolve at a personal and soul level.

As I write this, the term "The more you know the more you grow" popped  into my head. I think I will make that my mantra for every tuesday's and I invite you to do the same.

So where to start?

Here are a few techniques to broaden your horizons and encourage growth at the deepest level:

✔️ Change Your Perspective by practicing conscious detachment:

Have you ever been in this situation?

You have made a major blunder at work, are having trouble with a relationship, or have gotten hopelessly lost when going to a new location – and you felt so overwhelmed that you could not even think straight?

When that happens, you know you are letting your emotions get the best of you.

Here's how to achieve that perspective WHILE YOU ARE IN THE SITUATION.

When you feel panicky or overwhelmed, your emotions are in control, and fear, insecurity and self-judgment are in the driver's seat.

The fix for that is to train yourself to step back and observe yourself in the situation as if you are watching a play. It sounds funny, but trust me, it works!

With a little practice, this "conscious detachment" will allow you to keep your cool and make smart decisions even in the most trying situations. You will start to notice your default reactions to stress and pressure, and change your behavior to get new (better) results.

✔️ Do not judge others, or yourself:

It is hard (impossible) to be your authentic self when you are constantly worrying about what other people are thinking about you. That kind of focus interferes with your soul wisdom and effectively mutes your intuition.

It's difficult to let go of the expectation that you have to be perfect or live up to a certain standard – but this is a skill worth learning! Start by being conscious of how you judge yourself and others.

Make compassion and acceptance your default, and you will find that you have a deeper understanding of yourself and others and you can operate from a place of enlightenment, rather than fear.

✔️ Get in the habit of challenging your beliefs:

You might have read the last few paragraphs and said to yourself, "yeah, that's great, but my situation is different. Or you might think that other people really do have valuable insights about what is best for you.

Before you discount my advice, add one more skill to your tool-box.

Learn to question your assumptions! Ask yourself questions like:

What am I afraid of?

What is the worst that can happen?

How likely is it that the worst will happen?

What do I stand to gain?

Am I doing the same thing and expecting a different result?

Question, question, question! It is the best way I know to break old patterns and grow.
