THE PENCIL AND THE PENCIL MAKER

THOSE who do not yet know God do not yet have access to all-knowledge God.

 

 

My spiritual life gives me a deep sense of aliveness, and connection to something bigger than myself. Spirituality is a universal human experience and it touches us all whether through:

️Praying

️Meditating

️Connecting with nature

️Art

️Practicing gratefulness 

 

Cultivating our spirituality is as important as developing our emotional wellbeing, because it leads to healthy positive feelings, such as peace of mind, contentment, acceptance, hope etc and this will help us dodge anxiety especially in the current circumstances we are all going through. 

 

 

And this is why it is an aspect of my life that I give importance to daily.

Once upon a time, 

 

 

 

The Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting into the box. 

 

"There are 5 things you need to know," the maker told the pencil.

 

The maker said, "Before I send you out into the world, always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be"!

 

 One:  

 

You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in someone's hand".

 

 Two:  

 

"You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you will need it in order to become a better pencil".

 

 Three:  

 

"You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make with an extension of what I created together with you".

 

 Four:  

 

"The most important part of you will always be what's inside".

 

 And Five:  

 

"On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write".

 

The pencil understood and promised to remember all what was told by the maker and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

 

Now replacing the place of the pencil with humans!

 

Always remember them and never forget, and we will become the best person we can be.

 

 One: 

 

We will be able to do many great things, but only if we allow our self to be held in God's hand (He is our maker of course!).

And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess - as there's a purpose for our creation!

 

 Two: 

 

We will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various challenges in life, but we'll need it in order to become a stronger person.

 

 Three: 

 

We will be able to correct any mistakes we might make. It's left for us to learn from those mistakes. 

 

 Four: 

 

The most important part of us will always be what’s on our d inside. 

 

 And Five: 

 

On every surface we walk through, we must leave our mark/influence. No matter what the situation, we must continue to do our duties. 

 

 

Allow this parable of the pencil and the pencil maker to encourage you to know that you are a special person and only you can fulfill the purpose to which you were created to accomplish - All creation has a purpose for being created.

Finally, there's the man who knows not but pretends that he knows; he is a fool; so avoid him.

Remember - Life is made of many angles. It is important to investigate as many angles( perspectives) as we approach life with this type of eyes, we can widen our perspective and see more. Suddenly, you find in the palm of your hand the entire universe - exactly where it has always been.

SUNDAY'S INSPIRATIONS 💫

 IT'S SUNDAY.. GET INSPIRED! 

THERE is this undeniable hunger that leads you to passionate action and as goals go, it is the doing that leads to achieving. 

Depending on what stage we are at in our lives, we can sometimes feel like we ought to know more about who we are or how to live. 

We may even berate ourselves for making the same mistakes, or for just not "getting it," whatever "it" may be. 

We wonder how our lives would be if only we had "known better." 

During moments like these, it is important to remember that none of us are born with instruction manuals and that learning lessons is a lifelong journey.

 

Inherent to our being born is that we are here to observe, learn, and grow. 

Accompanying this is a built-in guarantee that there will be mistakes and misadventures along the way. 

And while it is only natural that we may sometimes become overwhelmed, especially when the lessons keep coming, it is important to remember that learning to understand yourself and your world is an ongoing and active process where the journey is more important than the destination. 

Every lesson is intended so you can become more of who you are. As you grow through this self-discovery, you begin to create your own instruction manual. 

The "how" and "why" is yours to discover, and part of the beauty of being alive is that these rules are always changing.

 

If you feel that you would like to explore what your personal instruction manual may already say, then try writing down in order some of the significant events that have happened to you. It's also important to take note of what you learned from each one. 

When you are done, you may be surprised to discover how much you are always growing and that every lesson learned always informs the next. That being said, there is never a need to be hard on yourself or think that you should have it all figured out. 

We always know as much as we are meant to know at that moment, and growing into our fullness is a process that unfolds in divine timing. 

Remember - You and your life are beautiful works in progress. Discover yourself and embrace your life's lessons, and your instruction manual will create itself.

GEORGE MCLAURIN, the first black man admitted to the university of Oklahoma in 1948, was forced to sit in a corner far from his classmates.

Well... Forcing yourself to be accepted by people is a waste of time. Just focus and add value to yourself and people shall come seeking your help. 

Remember - You shouldn't  allow yourself to become stuck and stop within a rut. Life is all about change and growth. If you are not growing you are not working towards anything at all.

Sometimes ago...

Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile soil. The first seed said: 

"I want to grow! I want to send  my roots deep into the soil beneath me and thrust my sprouts through the Earth's crust above me. I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring. I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and blessing of the morning dew on my petals." 

And so, she grew.

On the other hand, the second seed said: 

"Hmmm! If I send my roots into the ground below, I don't know what I will encounter in the dark. If I push my way to the hard soil above me, I may damage my delicate sprouts. What if I let my bud open and a snail strikes to eat them? 

And if I was open to my blossoms, a man may pull me from the ground." 

The second seed thought for a while and decided to wait until it is safe. And so, she waited and waited and waited. 

Then, one day while the seed (that was not willing to take the risks of growth) was feeling so secure down in the ground, a yard hen scratching around in the early spring for food found the waiting seed and promptly ate it.

It's Sunday.. Get inspired! 

We have a habit of presenting life with a set of conditions - ifs and whens that must be fulfilled before we will say yes to the gift of our lives. 

Now is the time for each of us to bloom where we are planted, overriding our tendency to hold back. 

Now is the time to take risks, to say yes, to be brave and commit fully to ourselves, because until we do no one else will. 

Now is the time to be vulnerable, unfolding delicately yet fully into the space in which we find ourselves!
