Being Authentic To Yourself is A Revolutionary Act

ONE OF THE GREATEST things we can let go of is our desire to  fit in, belong & conform.. Our desire to fit in or belong in this societal culture is what causes us to lose ourselves.. we forget who we are.. we resist our own life force.. we lose our creativity, our spark, our fire, we lose our embody excitement & unconditional love when we give it to others in order to feel like we belong..

Nobody is perfect, yet almost every one tries to act as though they "have it together".. This neurotic false pretenses is what divides us from each other & ourselves..

If we could see inside each other's muds & realize that we are all full of similar anxieties, insecurities, compulsions, sadness, false beliefs, & just plain ol' bizarre thoughts - we would awaken to the fact that our ego is a neurotic construct enslaved within a neurotic failure & that culture is more than a collectivized consensus about what sort of neurotic behaviours are acceptable..

The whole silly charade would rapidly dissolve in a global cuddle-puddle of laughter & tears..

If you want this in your own life, it starts with you accepting yourself, embracing your own shadow self, with all the things in yourself that you've denied & held back.. your 'flaws' & personal challenges are the most interesting, endearing & relatable thing about you in an otherwise homogenized & fake society..

In an age of deceit & emotional disconnection, being authentic to yourself is a revolutionary act..

Remember - to transform the world, we must begin with ourselves & what is important in beginning with ourselves is the intention.. the intention must be to understand ourselves & not to leave it to others to transform us..
Be the first to initiate the change or bring about a modified change through revolution, either of the left or the right..

It is important to understand that this is our responsibility.. Remember, If you can't change  yourself, how could you possibly change anyone else..
